The Global Journal of Cataract Surgery and Research in Ophthalmology (GJCSRO) is an open-access peer-reviewed journal committed to publishing high-quality articles in the field of Cataract, Cataract Management, Medical, Clinical, Surgical, Laboratory and Molecular Ophthalmology. The journal is owned by the International Society of Manual Small Incision Cataract Surgeons (ISMSICS) and published by the Scientific Scholar.

Aims & Scope

Will cover studies encompassing clinical, experimental, basic science and translational research related to cataract and cataract management.

Will also include ophthalmic research of clinical interest and or implication.


Our audience includes researchers from the field of Cataract, Cataract Management, Medical, Clinical, Surgical, Laboratory and Molecular Ophthalmology.

GJCSRO has a highly rigorous peer-review process that makes sure that manuscripts are scientifically accurate, relevant, novel and important. Authors disclose all conflicts, affiliations and financial associations such that the published content is not biased.

We provide plagiarism check software (iThenticate) on the Editor’s and Reviewer’s panel in the manuscript management system. We encourage our editors and reviewers to use the plagiarism check. The manuscript’s found to have plagiarism is rejected.

Articles published online under the Ahead of Print model are considered published and can be cited and quoted using the DOI as the reference source. Global Journal of Cataract Surgery and Research in Ophthalmology has a policy that changes will not be made after the publication of an article without following accepted procedures for making corrections to the scientific record.
